Jeffrey Glasser (B. 1940, New York City, New York) is a contemporary artist who works primarily in photography and sculpture. He is known for his classical style and strong, simple composition and textures. His favorite photography mediums are film capture printed “wet” darkroom in silver-gelatin and with hand- coated platinum/palladium/gold emulsion on fiber-based papers. He also prints digitally with UltraChrome ink generally from scanned negatives. While Glasser’s photographic imagery is rarely abstract, his sculptures are. They are produced in different mediums and are mostly enlarged in metal from maquettes. The stone (alabaster) sculptures are one-of-a-kind. In addition to corporate and private collections, his artwork has been included in over fifty exhibitions and the Miami-Dade Art in Public Places.
